Hello and welcome! My name is David Fornos and I’m a professional therapist operating in Austin, Texas who is currently accepting new clients.
What’s stopping you from being who you are when alone and around others? What stops you from knowing how to take care of yourself? This is what I can explore with you in therapy. I want to help you shed what holds you back and illuminate pain that may be keeping you stagnant.
I want the world to meet who you are.
Depression, anxiety, and relationship dysfunction can stifle and hide your true self. You may feel inhibited, pressured, and isolated, but throughout it all you know there is still something amazing within you. If you’re interested in this journey of self-discovery, reach out to me today to start your first therapy session.
My primary approach to therapy is client-centered, meaning that I emphasize the creation of a nonjudgmental and nurturing space for my clients to grow to their fullest potential. However, I also implement approaches from Internal Family Systems and Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy in my work. With younger clients and adults who are receptive to it, I utilize play therapy and art therapy in session.
As a therapist, I see myself as responsible for supporting social justice through my work and am an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community as well as a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working out of the offices of Hill Country Parenting in Austin, TX but am also currently offering teletherapy by Zoom. If you would like to reach out and schedule a consultation session with me, please contact me here.
